Our program goals are:
To improve the quality of life for patients and families through the management of symptoms, pain in its various dimensions, and stress of a serious illness
To help children and their families live to their fullest, allowing the child to develop and grow in the face of serious illness. To provide support and symptom management using age appropriate tools, and to encourage sibling/peer and community interactions.
An interdisciplinary team focus that encompasses care of mind, body, and spirit through education, counseling, and spiritual support for patients and families.
Provide support and education for patients, families, and communities, in accessing palliative care resources across health care settings.
Collaborate and partner with health care and community-based organizations in the delivery of our Palliative Care Program.
