News

On Thursday, October 25, Dominican Sisters Family Health Service (DSFHS) will hold its 20th Annual Mary & Carol Higgins Clark Luncheon and Book Signing at Abigail Kirsch Tappan Hill.

More than 300 guests will be out to honor Geoff Thompson and Elizabeth Bracken-Thompson who are receiving the 2012 Mother Mary Walsh Award and to recognize Bill Rosa, Jane Hickey and Gina Cardillo from the Santa Project at St. Patrick’s School in Bedford who will be receiving the 2012 Dr. Joseph A. Cimino Community Service Award.

“Ann and Bill Smith have given many years of dedicated service to our Agency. Their strong family values and faith are portrayed through their devotion to their children and through their service to Church and Community. They certainly represent the example set many years ago by our Foundress, Mother Mary Walsh” said Mary J. Zagajeski, President and CEO of Dominican Sisters Family Health Service.

Unable to attend the luncheon, Monsignor Sullivan was honored for his commitment to community service. He was presented with the 2011 Dr. Joseph A. Cimino Community Service Award at a special luncheon earlier this week. The award, named for the late Dr. Cimino, a pioneer in commitment to community service, is bestowed upon an individual who exemplifies professionalism, personal integrity, and generosity to those less fortunate in our society.

Renowned best selling mystery writers, and dear friends to DSFHS, Mary and Carol Higgins Clark will begin the day with a book signing as enthused guests patiently wait on line to have the chance to have their books signed and to meet the authors. After a delicious lunch, Mary and Carol will give the keynote address for the 20th consecutive year.

WHUD’s Mike Bennett is serving as Master of Ceremonies promises to dazzle the guests with his witty and charming remarks.

Kevin Plunkett, Deputy County Executive presented proclamations to the honorees and to DSFHS. Proceeds from the 19th Annual Mary and Carol Higgins Clark Luncheon and Book Signing will enable the Agency to continue to provide quality, compassionate home care and outreach services throughout Westchester, New York City and Suffolk.
